KMG International NV to focus on Romania

KMG International NV, the former Rompetrol Group, has announced it is analyzing opportunities to extend its activity on the distribution markets in Ukraine and Turkey, however it is envisaging USD 170 million investments to open 96 filling stations in Romania. “Initially we were planning to extend our activity to Ukraine and Turkey; nonetheless there is a big question mark regarding Ukraine due to the political environment. Turkey is another story. It might be necessary for us to revise our plan,” said Azamat Zhangulov, Vice-president KMG International NV.

Zhangulov added he is expecting progress on the Romanian market, the target for the group’s main investments. “For the moment we envisage 96 filling stations, with a total amount of investments of some USD 170 million,” the KMG International NV representative mentioned.
