The Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) has set the level for next winter, that the required gas stock should be 18.7 million MWh. Of this amount, 7.5 million MWh are destined for household consumers, 3.1 million MWh for the power plants delivering heat and almost 8 million MWh for companies. The stock has to be completed until October 31, 2015 by 63 companies. The holders of natural gas supply licenses are required to hold minimum stocks totalling 18.7 million MWh gas before this winter, according to an order issued by the President of the Regulatory Authority for Energy. For the winter 2014-2015, the value of stocks was 19.7 million MWh, by 17% less than the one stored in the previous winter. The largest stocks concern E.ON Gaz Romania, which has the largest market share in terms of gas supply to end users, followed by GDF Suez and OMV Petrom.
